Webb Boats provides bespoke and course-led workshops for anyone who is interested in learning boatbuilding, woodwork, and joinery.

Suitable for all, the skills learnt in these courses enable attendees to build their own furniture, learn new techniques in handcrafting timber, or for those ambitious types, full boat restoration.

Webb Boats’ founder, Howard Webb is renowned in British traditional boatbuilding and restoration for his passion in helping to retain endangered heritage skills and crafts; including classical boatbuilding, and wooden vessel restoration.

Howard supported Norwich City College in helping to build the syllabus for heritage woodworking crafts. At the same time Howard also trained to be a teacher and trainer, subsequently awarded an NVQ qualification in teaching, enabling him to support the ongoing knowledge of those regional and nationally recognised skillsets which are at risk of extinction.

Through Howard’s teaching success both at Norwich City College and directly, Webb Boats offers bespoke traditional woodworking skills workshops to groups and individuals.
